Ok wstało środowisko. Ale mam pytanie... Skąd np. będę wiedział, że zainstalowałem sterownik i że jest on dobry, że działa, wszystko ok ? Przykładowo na winie menadzer urządzeń i pokazywał wsio, co jest, czego nie ma.

Dobra wykonałem powyższe pkt. Zainstalowałem Bumblebee, ale jak z tego korzystać ? Skąd mam wiedzieć, że ta karta jest już zainstalowana, oraz nie rozumiem sekcji z Power Management.

  1. Zainstalowałeś bubblebee?
  2. Wklej jeszcze raz log /var/log/Xorg.0.log
  3. Zainstaluj pakiet: mesa-utils.
  4. Uruchom 2 polecenia:

    glxgears -info
    optirun glxgears -info
    Jeżeli wszystko poszło OK, to pierwsze powinno renderować obraz z wykorzystaniem karty intela, a drugie z wykorzystaniem karty nvidii.
  5. Co do zarządzania mocą, to: https://github.com/Bumblebee-Project/bbswitch <= przeczytaj co to jest i jak się tego używa (rozdział "Usage").

A teraz rozumiem. optirun służy do włączania aplikacji przy użyciu nvidii.
No to zadziałało polecenie. Z początku miałem error, ale później mała edycja konfiga zgodnie z instrukcją i zadziałało :)
Sprawdź jeszcze ten log i fajnie by było, żebyś nakreślił dokładniej czego tam szukasz, a ja wtedy powalczy z zarządzaniem mocą.

Log mówi tylko o tym, że działa akceleracja na intelu - wszystko OK. Jak chcesz wiedzieć, czy karta nvidii pracuje OK, to przeanalizuj/porównaj wyniki glxgears -info z optirun i bez. Porównaj komunikaty na początku, oraz ilość FPS'ów. Możesz też poeksperymentować ze wspomnianym wcześniej bbswitch.

FPS się nie różnią, ale na początku jest komunikat na jakiej karcie pracuje. Co do bbswitch, nie do końca rozumiem jego działania. Z tego co udało mi się wyczytać, to można w nim ustawić na jakiej karcie ma pracować system przez cały czas. Do tego można ustawić, że przy ładowaniu systemu ma się odpalić od razu na nvidii, bądź nie. Tak samo przy zamykaniu. Ale jaki to ma sens. Raczej miałem nadzieję, że tu będzie chodziło i jakieś ustawienie wydajności. Że ma pracować optymalnie, albo na wysokich obrotach.

Kwestia jeszcze dźwięku... Czy można dodać jakiś suwak w rogu do dźwięku, aby regulować głośność ?
