ipw3945 - Problem z WiFi

Witam :) To mój pierwszy post, więc się przedstawię na początku, nazywam się Rafał i wcześniej przez dłuższy czas korzystałem z Ubuntu.

Dzisiaj postanowiłem zainstalować Debiana Lenny, i zrodził się problem, ponieważ nie jestem w stanie już dojść do tego jak skonfigurować kartę WiFi w moim laptopie HP nx7300.

Karta to:
Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection (rev 02)

próbowałem już zainstalować do niej:
firmware-ipw3945 ipw3945d ipw3945-modules-2.6.22-3-686

co oczywiście nic nie dało.

Dodam też, że w Ubuntu karta działała, bez najmniejszego problemu już na etapie LiveCD, a tu nie chce działać.

Dlatego moja prośba :) Czy mógłby ktoś opisać mi to w sposób łopatologiczny czyt. maksymalnie prosty i zrozumiały)?

Proszę o szybką odpowiedź.

Hmm, u mnie ta karta działa świetnie :) .

Pierwsza sprawa, upewnij się, że masz załadowany moduł ipw3945.
Po drugie sprawdź, czy dmesg nie wywala ci żadnych błędów.
Po trzecie na pewno iwconfig wywala brak interfejsów z wifi?

Nie używałem jeszcze żadnej sieci z wpa, ale
to ci da programik podobny jak miales w ubuntu (tak mi sie wydaje):
aptitude install knetworkmanager

albo ręcznie coś na wzór:
iwconfig eth1 essid nazwa_sieci enc klucz
dhclient eth1 (o ile masz na routerze serwer dhcp)

niezle :D do knetworkmanagera potrzebuje pobrac 70MB :d sweet :) a nie da sie jakoś tego standartowego network-managera zmusic zeby wpa obsluzyl? bo sie upiera na WEP.

ten knetworkmanager, to chyba tylko nakladka na twojego "standardowego" network-managera. Właśnie sobie go zainstalowałem i widzę, że ma wybór między szyfrowaniem WPA Personal, WPA Enterprise i WEP*, więc w którym momencie masz problem?
