po sciągnięciu łatki 2.6.25 wpisalem

co to moze znaczyc? po skompilowaniu nowego kernlu uruchomilem ponowanie komputer.

Pewnie nie skompilowałeś z initrd.
Ogólnie to kompiluj według http://www.howtoforge.com/kernel_compil ... ebian_etch.
Drogę tradycyjną zostaw sobie jako taką ciekawostkę

z kolei teraz mam taki problem, walczylem i nic . Na gcc-4.1 powinna pojsc gladko kompilacja kernela 2.6.25
