Nie dziala polecenie dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg?
Niestety nie pamietam 
W kazdym badz razie tez sie nie odpalil. Wtedy przeszedlem do nastepnej wskazowki czyli

Zmieniłem tylko sterownik na "Vesa". Teraz powinno się środowisko graficzne uruchomić.
¯adnych innych zmian nie wprowadzałem. Sprawdź. Uruchom ponownie komputer.
