ja mam ustawioną w /etc/X11/xorg.conf i nie używam tego narzędzia do zmiany rozdzielczości.

W którym miejscu dokładnie mam dopisać rozdzielczość w pliku /etc/X11/xorg.conf? Przy konfiguracji poleceniem

dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

w wersji Etch miałem możliwość wyboru tych ustawień ale w Lenny pomija mi te czynności?

Właśnie postawiłem neostradę na Debianie z LXDE.
Na mojego staruszka Duron800Hhz i 390Ram to jest rakieta

Jak dla mnie to trochę zbyt windowsowaty. Fakt, że po logowaniu od razu stoi. Ja na laptopie Dell X300 (1.2 GHz, 384MB ram, graf: 32MB), używam Gnoma, chodzi jak chodzi, ale bardziej teraz skłaniam się ku Fluxboksowi niż LXDE.

Lubię eksperymentować i dzisiaj mam od nowa Debiana ale na xfce i chyba jednak wolę xfce.
Po starcie mniej Ramu zabiera (sam system około 40MB) ale trochę więcej procesor pracuje według mnie w porównaniu z LXDE i chyba zostanę na XFCE. Jak trochę poznam system to ruszę z gołym systemem + Fluxbox bo wydaje mi się, że zamiana samego menadżera + "bebechy" z Xfce to chyba dużej różnicy nie będzie.
