Korzystam z kubuntu i od około tygodnia próbuje uruchomić beryla. Na sterownikach zamkniętych (fglrx) miałem przynajmniej przyspieszanie sprzętowe - na sterach otwartych nie.

Powodem mogą być niektóre pakiety które nie chcą się zainstalować, np libgl1-mesa-dri:

Czytanie list pakietów... Gotowe
Budowanie drzewa zależności... Gotowe
libgl1-mesa-dri jest już w najnowszej wersji.
Pakiet libgl1-mesa-glx nie ma dostępnej wersji, ale odnosi się do niego inny pakiet.
Zazwyczaj oznacza to, że pakietu brakuje, został zastąpiony przez inny
pakiet lub nie jest dostępny przy pomocy obecnie ustawionych źródeł.
E: Pakiet libgl1-mesa-glx nie ma kandydata do instalacji

Dziś pozbyłem się całkowicie sterów fglrx (znalazłem gdzieś na tym forum że komuś to pomogło - mi niestety nie). Jedyne co zauważyłem to to że nie ma komunikatu (coś of X-Free) przy np sprawdzaniu renderingu. Jak uruchomić to nieszczęsne 3d?

Masz zasyfiony xorg.conf. Zrób jego kopię i skonfiguruj go ponownie poleceniem:

Bawiłem się i próbowałem wszystkiego co się da (beryl na dappera - nie ma, beryl na edgiego - coś z zależnościami, compiz na dappera - nie ma, compiz na edgiego - zainstalował się ale co z tego jak po uruchomieniu restart X'ów

)
Po berylu pozostał mi emerald - on też powoduje restart X'ów

Nie wiem czy ja mam takie szczęscie ale jak zrobię jedną rzecz to znów następna nie chce działać :[

Uporządkowałeś xorg.conf ?

Nie biorę się za to bo ostatnio jak rekonfigurowałem x-server to miałem wogóle inaczej ustawiony monitor na linuxie a inaczej na windowsie (musiałem przestawiać przyciskami od monitora bo ekran był poprzesuwany,

A i jeszcze jedno - po zahaszowaniu (przez jakie h?) wacom x'y nie wstają

A tak w ogóle o co tam jest do uporządkowania?

EDIT: Z renderingiem już nie mam problemów (brakowało jakiegoś repo i później zainstalował się jakiś pakiet i teraz już po wydaniu polecenia glxinfo | grep direct nie ma żadnych błędów - jest Direct Rendering: Yes).

Beryl po ponownej instalce też nie chce działać - restartuje x'y, a compiz zamyka tylko aktualnego menadżera okien.
