Mam nadzieję, że mnie nie zlinczujecie za ten temat i uwierzycie na słowo, że szukałem odpowiedzi zanim go założyłem. Fakt faktem przez pośpiech i złość panującą w mym umyśle mogłem przeoczyć odpowiedź rozwiązującą mój problem. No ale do rzeczy...

Próbowałem zainstalować sterowniki nvidii (riva tnt2) i wyskoczył mi pewien błąd. Zajrzałem do poradnika Kaki' i okazało się, że wszystko robiłem dobrze (tzn. tak mi się wydaje) ale sami zobaczcie:

Błąd zdaje się jest dobrze widoczny, potrzebuję tylko kogoś kto mi go pomoże zinterpretować.

Dziękuję, działa.
A tak na marginesie to dawno nie robiłem nic z grafiką, więc pozapominałem - odpalając glxinfo wyskakuje mi:
