Wyszukiwania w Google nic nie dały, podobnie jak chat z pomocą technicznąSome AMD64 machines don't have a CMOS configuration menu in the BIOS. They require a software CMOS setup program. If you don't have the Installation and/or Diagnostics diskette for your machine, you can try using a shareware/freeware program. Try looking in ftp://ftp.simtel.net/pub/simtelnet/msdos/.
Cóż, może moja angielszczyzna nie jest idealna, ale chyba da się zrozumieć...Piotr Jander : How to get to a CMOS configuration menu in the PhoenixBIOS?
[An agent will be with you shortly.]
[You are now chatting with Baylee .]
Baylee : Hello Piotr.
Baylee : Welcome to HP Total Care for HP Notebooks.
Baylee : How are you today?
Piotr Jander : thanks,I'm fine.
Baylee : I understand that you require information on CMOS configuration menu in the PhoenixBIOS. Am I right?
Piotr Jander : Yes, you are.
Baylee : Thank you for the confirmation.
Baylee : Let me explain Piotr, the CMOS configuration is not available in the PhoenixBIOS.
Piotr Jander : I supposed that. So, is there any other way to configure it?
Baylee : I am afraid, it is not possible to configure the CMOS configuration.
Piotr Jander : Let me quote this:
Some AMD64 machines don't have a CMOS configuration menu in the BIOS. They require a software CMOS setup program. If you don't have the Installation and/or Diagnostics diskette for your machine, you can try using a shareware/freeware program. Try looking in ftp://ftp.simtel.net/pub/simtelnet/msdos/. Piotr Jander : But the link did not help me.
Baylee : I understand that you want to update the BIOS. Am I right?
Piotr Jander : No, I rather want to change some settings to improve Linux working on my machine. There's page about it: http://www.de.debian.org/releases/stabl ... 06.html.en
Baylee : I regret to inform you that we are trained on Winows Vista and XP Operating Systems and we do not have much information on Linux.
Piotr Jander : You don't have to know anything about Linux. I'll do it, but I only wanted to learn about BIOS.
Baylee : Alright, I shall assist you in this regard.
Baylee : Let me explain Piotr, t\he BIOS is a program that allows the operating system to start when the computer is turned on. Updating the BIOS can resolve compatibility conflicts that may exist between different hardware components on the computer.
Piotr Jander : That's not exactly what I wanted to know but I'm happy to learn more and more about computers. You can explain me what BIOS is if you want but, actually, the only one thing that is necessary is a CMOS configuration.
Piotr Jander : I've known that PhoenixBIOS doesn't have an option of changing a CMOS configuration but I believe that there's an other way to do it.
Baylee : I am afraid, there is no other way for doing it.
Piotr Jander : OK, it's a pity... Thanks for help, Baylee.
Baylee : You are welcome.
Baylee : It has been my pleasure assisting you today.
Baylee : Do you have any other technical questions I can help you with today?
Piotr Jander : No, I haven't. Thanks.
Baylee : Thank you for contacting HP Total Care Real-Time chat support. If you need further assistance, please contact us again at: http://www.hp.com/support/chat. Chat support is available 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week.
Baylee : Please do get back to us if there is any issue with the Notebook.
Baylee : Bye Piotr and take care.
Piotr Jander : Bye.
Z tego wynika, że nie mogę skonfigurować mojego BIOSu, ale nie do końca ufam ludziom, którzy mówią "we are trained on Winows Vista and XP Operating Systems and we do not have much information on Linux" i chciałbym skorzystać z ostatniej deski ratunku, czyli społeczności Debiana.
Z góry dziękuję za pomoc,
Kanaan
