Witam.

Zainstalowałem Debiana Sid 64-bity, wersja jądra 3.1.0-1-amd64, na laptopie Dell Inspiron n5110, który posiada dwie karty graficzne:

Po instalacji karta Intela działa i w systemie mam akcelerację 3D. Nvidię obsługuje sterownik nouveau, przy czym podczas startu systemu wyświetlał mi się błąd z nim związany. Postanowiłem więc zainstalować niewolne sterowniki producenta do tej karty. W tym celu skorzystałem z tego poradnika: http://damlab.pl/howto/nvidia_drivers/ Wykonałem wszystko dokładnie zgodnie z opisem lecz po restarcie systemu na ekranie wyświetlają mi się ładujące moduły, a później zamiast ekranu logowania mam czarny ekran z migającym podkreśleniem. Kombinacja klawiszy Ctrl+Alt+F1 działa na jakieś dwie sekundy i znowu widzę migający kursor, więc nie jestem w stanie sprawdzić logów w /var/log/Xorg.0.log.

Plik, który dołączyłem to /var/log/Xorg.0.log przed zmianą sterowników. Próbowałem również instalacji sterowników z repozytorium lecz kończy się to tym samym efektem co instalacja skryptem Nvidii według poradnika.

W Ubuntu dzieje się dokładnie to samo tylko, że tam mam zupełnie czarny ekran i nie działają żadne kombinacje klawiszy. Nie wiem dlaczego, ale przed przekierowaniem polecenia lspci -k do pliku, wiersz z kartą graficzną Nvidii wyglądał inaczej. Było tam podane, że mam kartę GeForce GT 540M. Ze strony producenta pobrałem więc sterownik 290.10.

Czy spotkał się ktoś z Was z czymś takim? Proszę o pomoc bo zupełnie nie mam pomysłów jak rozwiązać ten problem. Z góry dziękuję za pomoc.

Który jest w tej sytuacji mało przydatny. Potrzebny jest aktualny log, kiedy nie działa.

Udało mi się ustalić, że problem polega na niemożliwości znalezienia wolnego wirtualnego terminala. Na polskich forach praktycznie nic o tym nie ma, więc jak znajdę chwilę to przeglądnę angielskie, chyba, że ktoś z Was ma pomysł jak to naprawić to będę wdzięczny.

Instalacja sterownika z pliku binarnego nie powiodła się zatem spróbuj użyć paczek z repozytorium Debiana.
W tym celu najpierw odinstaluj to co zainstalował instalator Nvidia.
Przejdź do katalogu gdzie znajduje się binarny plik instalatora.

Postępowałem zgodnie z Twoimi wskazówkami z poziomu Knoppiksa. Wszystkie polecenia zakończyły się powodzeniem, lecz po restarcie systemu znowu zobaczyłem czarny ekran z migającym podkreśleniem. Plik Xorg.0.org był dokładnie takim sam jak podałem w poprzednim poście. Zatem postanowiłem od nowa zainstalować Debiana i spróbować Twojej metody na czystym systemie. Nie miałem pliku /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf więc wpisy dodałem do pliku fbdev-blacklist.conf.

Pliku /etc/X11/xorg.conf też nie miałem, więc nie było co usuwać. Instalacja pakietów przebiegła bez problemów. Na koniec restart i po uruchomieniu systemu ukazał mi się dobrze znany czarny ekran. Zawartość pliku /var/log/Xorg.0.log była dokładnie taka sama jak poprzednio.

Niestety błąd dalej pozostaje taki sam.

Na polskim forum Ubuntu znalazłem wątek dotyczący sterowników kart graficznych mojego laptopa. Według tego, co ktoś tam napisał, Nvidia po prostu nie wspiera kart hybrydowych w Linuksie. Po ich zainstalowaniu pojawia się czarny ekran również u innych osób. Tak, więc pozostaje mi czekać aż programiści Nvidii coś z tym zrobią. Z racji tego, postanowiłem zainstalować sterowniki do karty Intela, która nieźle się sprawdza i posiada akcelerację 3D, a Nvidię obsługiwać nouveau (chyba, że będzie sprawiać problemy to zablokuje).

Dziękuję wszystkim za pomoc.

Nie ma co od razu rezygnować. Pobaw się jeszcze bo się możesz mile zaskoczyć.
Nvidia oferuje sterownik binarny dla twojej karty i systemu.
Czy aby próbowałeś zainstalować właściwy?

Jeśli nie to spróbuj. Usuń wcześniej wszystkie pakiety nVidia.

Dokładnie taki sam sterownik próbowałem zainstalować w Debianie, a także w Ubuntu. Działałby on wtedy, gdy karta nVidii byłaby jedyną w komputerze. Niestety ja mam hybrydową kartę graficzną (nazywa się to bodajże Optimus). Nvidia nie wspiera Optimusa w Linuksie, a także nie daje opcji aby z tej karty nie korzystać. Wniosek z tego taki, że karta jest włączona i pobiera prąd z baterii, ale używać się jej po prostu nie da.
