Monitor LCD 18' Xorg nie chce przyjąc wyŻszej rozdzielczości

Kupiłem nowy monitor, skonfigurowałem Xorg (dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg), lecz system nie uznaje rozdzielczości innej niż 1280x1024 (chociaż w Xorg jest większa), mój Xorg.conf:
W menu Konfiguracji ekranu (w KDE jak i w np. Xfce) nie ma możliwości zmiany rozdziałki na większą niż 1280 x 1024 (której to używałem na starym monitorze). Jak można wymusić zmianę rozdzielczości na 1600 x 1200, lub chociaż 1400 x xxxx?
