radeon hd2400 - Debian Lenny i wolno działające gry

Z racji, że jest to mój pierwszy post na forum - cześć i czołem ;)

Przechodząc do rzeczy, mam następujący problem.
Jakakolwiek gierka po włączeniu bardzo klatkuje na Debianie. Na tym samym sprzęcie nie zdarzało mi się to pod Ubuntu.

Jak widać próbowałem już

Karta - nieszczęsny radeon hd2400, Debian Lenny. Próbowałem już kilku kombinacji, bez skutku (no poza straceniem wizji w całości).

Proszę o wskazówki i z góry dzięki za jakąkolwiek pomoc :)

Właśnie przerabiam ten sam temat tylko z kartą HD 2600 XT.

Pierwsza rzecz jaki sterownik instalowałeś (wersja, czy z binarki czy z pakietów)

Druga co wyskakuje Ci po wpisaniu komendy:

Dzięki za szybką odpowiedź :) .

Sterownik jest zamknięty, ostatnia wersja ze strony producenta (próbowałem też poprzednie).
Fglrxinfo pokazuje:

O czym to świadczy... i co dalej?

//Edit: dodam jeszcze, że efekty podczas zalogowania, wylogowania, wyłączenia i włączenia systemu (tzn. to takie charakterystyczne dla gnome efektowne przyciemnianie) działają, podobnie jak nie mam zarzutów do rozdziałki i odświeżania.
Podejrzewam, że błąd leży w źle wypełnionym pliku xorg.conf, ale nie mam pojęcia gdzie...

I już wiadomo w czym problem. Nie masz akceleracji sprzętowej za pośrednictwem sterownika fglrx.

Pokaż twój plik /var/log/Xorg.log.

Czy podczas instalacji sterownika dostyałeś jakieś komunikaty o błędach?

Sprawdż plik log z instalacji starownika (nie pamiętam dokładnie gdzie on jest bo ati gdzieś go chowa w którymś ze swoich katalogów - /etc/ati czy coś podobnego)

Po tym zainstaluj paczki z repozytorium (wersja sterownika 8.5).

No to super napisz jeszcze na jakim sprzęcie udało Ci się uruchomić i sprawdz czy nie wiesza się na jakieś gierce z akcelerację lub wideo przez kodek xv (będę Ci wdzięczny bo mam problem z tym sterownikiem - u mnie wiesz komp po kilku sekundach działania akceleracji).

Mam acera tm 5520 (nie pamiętam dokładnie która wersja, ale różnią się one chyba jedynie rozmiarem RAMu i pojemnością HD).

Gierki, które miałem okazje przetestować to hedgewars 9.4 i cstrike pod wine ;)
¯adne z filmów nie sprawiają problemów przy odtwarzaniu.

W repo SIDa jest nowsza wersja sterownika (nie próbowałem), ale może ta Ci pomoże...
